Lisa Raye Talks Al Sharpton & Divorce [Video]
Lisa Raye hit up Satellite radio and talked Al Sharpton plus the legalities surrounding her divorce. According to Lisa, shes still wrapped up in the divorce proceedings. In Turks & Cacao’s, the financial aspect of the divorce is determined after the divorce is final.
In a all too slick way, she bobbed and weaved around answering whether her and the good Reverend Al were a couple. According to Lisa, he helped her out when she needed some political advice. Check the interview below..
Thanks for posting this Danie. I think most people like Lisa Raye and are rooting for her. I thought it was interesting that she mentioned that people overlook that she was the first African American actress who was a First Lady. I think MOST people knew she was a First Lady. Here in Hollywood, in 2007, Mr. Misick took out full page ads in the trades to herald her as his wife and First Lady.
Sister2Sister ran a huge thing on her wedding (Jamie Foster Brown felt dissed at the time) and a lot of her actress friends, Tisha Campbell, etc., have spoken supportively of her. I think the reason that a lot of people ’slept’ on her achievement as First Lady is: most people didn’t know where or what Turks Caicos was and Lisa Raye is best known as coming up through the entertainment business on her own as a strong, single parent. When it seemed like it was all getting too grand, like she was Grace Kelly of Monaco, and the PR machine was pushing the First Lady thing too much is when I think people tuned out and predicted the First Lady role would end up in political and personal chaos, which it did. I think Lisa Raye is real and smart and I wish her the best.
I concur, the PR machine over did it on the whole first lady aspect. LisaRaye’s staying power to me is incredible given the lack of actual roles/ work she’s produced over the years. Overall she is a beautiful lady and I wish her the best.

Well i think this is really very common thing because i think now a days people are not thinking about their life. I think misunderstanding is the most important factor for the divorce. I have watched your video and truly speaking that it was awesome one and i think some of her points are really considerable.
