King Children Agree To Settlement – Lawsuit Is Over

The children of Martin Luther King Jr.  settled a lawsuit that served as a much publicized division in the socially conscious family.  Bernice King and Martin Luther King III brought suit against their brother Dexter King for misappropriation of funds from their parents estates.

In a settlement reached Monday night the children agreed to end the lawsuit via settlement. Per to the original compliant Dexter King illegally and fraudulently converted estate funds.

According to CNN:

Superior Court Judge Ural D. Glanville determined that Dexter King was an authorized signatory on the checking account for his mother’s estate, which is administered by Bernice King.

“There was no improper conduct with respect to the removal of funds from Mrs. King’s estate,” the court said in its order for summary judgment.

The judge ordered that money withdrawn be equally divided among the siblings.

Alls well that ends well, I’m glad the King Family came to a resolution. Little Sasha and Malia better not pull this bull in 30 years.

What a relief that this is all over… Really an unpleasant and unneeded distraction.
